4X10 series rubber mat

I was cleaning my 4410 and was wondering if anyone has ever removed the rubber floor mat to clean under it? There appears to be some type of rubber or plastic rivet holding it. Didn't know if you would need to replace the rivet if you removed the mat.

I have pulled up the mat on my 4320 to clean underneath. The plastic "christmas trees" can be reused if you don't tear their ribs too bad. I ended up losing one and will buy a dozen or so for the future cleaning sessions just in case...

I just had my new 48 BH installed and this issue came up in conversation with the service person. They use a special tool to lift those plastic plugs up. I'm sure you could easily fab a tool up that would work the same way. I agree with the other post about buying a bunch of replacements. My guess is they will be damaged when you remove them. Let us know how this works out for you. I haven't removed my mat yet, but probably need to soon. Stuff gets underneath it all of the time. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
