Do you think 4WD would be particularly hard on a lawn, more so than 2WD? I have some hills, but my current 2WD does ok on them, so they're not too steep. If the grass is wet, I sometimes have to engage the locking differential.
4wd plays little to no part in what damage is done to a yard. It痴 the tire design and turning radius that does it. I don稚 think anything will tear up a yard more than ribbed front tires.
I strongly disagree about the 4 wheel drive not playing much of a part. When turning sharply with any tires the front to rear differential difference causes the tire with least resistance to spin, in turn it chews up the grass.
If 4 wheel drive is not engaged the tires do not spin, therefore not near the damage.
I'm sure you are correct about the rib tires and I am not disagreeing with that.
I'm probably wrong but won't be the first time.![]()
So, are you able to turn 4WD on/off as needed on Yanmars?
Yea there is a lever to put in in 4wd
