In 2000 I bought my 4610 new it has a power reverse transmission. It is equipped with a front loader, and backhoe, 3 point hitch, and a separate tilt control for the box blade. I have used the tractor in my construction business over the years it has about 1700 hours on it. I never used the rear PTO until about 2 months ago and it did not work. So I started checking and replacing parts starting with the switch on the dash. I have replaced the switch and the magnetic solenoid, all the seals and o-rings in the PTO control valve, I have drained and replaced all the hydraulic fluid as well as the filter and I cleaned the filter screen at the pickup tube. The PTO control valve looks good internally and I can here the solenoid making contact when I pull the switch so I think all that is working fine. All the other attachments are working well so I believe the pumps are okay. I am able to rotate the PTO shaft counter clockwise by hand and I can rotate it clockwise but only a short distance. I am really hoping it is not the clutch packs but I am running out of options. Is there anything I am missing, I keep on hoping for something simple. My grass is getting out of hand and I could use some advise.
