I had to take some pix of my 67 so I can get muscle car insurance coverage.
It turned out pretty sweet!

Awesome car. Great color. Looks like she's built to run too.

Great car. These engines work great with a longer duration cam than the factory put in.

Thanks for the kind words. It's a fun project still in progress. That's the OEM factory color, you don't see too many of those. It seems most muscle is red, blue or a shade of grey. I liked the old school look.

Arrow, you should like my cam... I recommend cranking your speakers before playing. '67 Olds 442 on Vimeo

Great cam for the engine. Should really start to pull in 3rd. For future considerations and if you wanted to increase bottom end torque, go to 2.5" pipe. I'd also not hesitate in the least of putting in no smaller than 4.33's at the rear. Heck , I might even go to 4.66's. Whatever the duration took away on the bottom, you'd pick up right quick with this set up. If its a "crusin" car, no lower than 3.73's. You have a super car. I used to have a 68. They had an ugly front end but with some head work (one of the best things you did was to deck the block) , cam change and headers, it ran 12.4s all day long. Really surprised some stock Cobra Jet 428 Mustangs.

I recommend you crank it up and listen to this.

Kathy Mattea signing 455 rocket. Fine song.

Cliff

She's kind of hot...not so much the song however. Just too typical sounding for my tastes. As they never put the 455 in the 59 Olds perhaps a more appropriate car or change the song to "394" (who'd go for that?). 1959 was also the last year Olds won the Daytona 500. Richard Petty drove an 88 to victory with the 371 engine.

Great song! I just wish they had an era correct car to tout the Rocket.
Of course not too many 455 Rockets were shipped in '67. :)

Nope, you're right but I'd rather have your body style than the 68 442's body style.
