4410 3rd scv

Am purchasing 4410 with 3rd scv for midmount mower. I told the dealer I wanted valve and lever factory installed. The tractor arrived without it. The dealer wants me to believe this is a field install item but I think they screwed up. Can anyone comment please. Thanks

I really don't know if the factory can install it... But I don't think that it really matters. Dealers often install additional options to the basic tractor consist. Mid-mount PTO, and various hydraulic options are common dealer installed options. Generally the tractors are designed with any required mounts and such, that these options are "plug and play" (to steal a computer term...).

This is a factory install option dual mid SCV and a single rear SCV MSRP @ $950 (production code 7020). If you want the 3rd SCV installed mid as opposed to rear then it's likely a dealer install that you'll have to pay extra for.

thanks for help-I thought one of the big improvements of 4410 was that the 3rd scv mechanism could be factory installed--

Go to John Deere's website at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.deere.com/>http://www.deere.com/</A> and check the JD Configurator. They may have changed SCV options that you can purchase as a factory install with the new 4x10 series. This will at least confirm in your own mind what big JD is saying and what your local dealer is saying. At least, request clarification from your dealer if what the dealer's saying conflicts with what big JD says.
