4310

I have the JD 4310 that has no hood release bar needless to say I now have to replace any advice on the best place to go.

I just came in because the JD quit battery is good just won't turn over any help with that I don't know if it's a switch didn't see any broken wires I think it must be a safety switch.

Going to need more info about what took place before the 4310 quit. Lead us up to what was going on, and why you think it might be a safety switch. Might be someone can help with more info...

Thanks, I was bush hogging and it just died I stopped and turned my pto off and turned my key back on and nothing happen. I did have a smell like wire was hot but no smoke. My lights work and my battery is charged no dash lights except for the lights.

I gather the 4310 is sitting out in the brush now.

If it quit when brush hogging, then I'd suspect a wire was torn loose. This may be a tough one to track down.

Do you have the service tech manual for the 4310?

Yes I got a Manual I am having a tractor tech coming here tues. until then I will use my old faithful 8N wish the JD had the 8N body lol. I will keep you posted on what the tech. Does.
