Hello my issue is with my 05 4310 I tried to pick up too much weight in the loader, Bags of concrete on a pallet with forks when I realized it was overloaded I tried to lower it down slowly to remove some of the weight. about one foot off the ground. It slammed to the ground and now it will not start .I mean nothing no clicking no lights .. New battery installed I've got lights on dash for one or two clicks then nothing . Checked fuses replaced starter fuse Pulled all the relays blew out dust , looked for loose wires etc . still nothing .. Any Ideas ? It was starting and running fine until that happened . Did I knock something loose perhaps ? Jam up the hydraulics ? I'll check battery connections tomorrow ,starter etc I was hoping someone else has experienced the same problem and could point me in the right direction . Thank you

Doesn't add up. That such a sudden drop would seem to be hydraulic related fail, yet you are looking at engine turning over being the problem.

Maybe related to your other problem that apparently was not solved.

Hope someone has a clue to give you something to go on.

Welcome to TBN

Maybe one possibility is that a safety switch or lever got knocked loose and is therefore preventing a start. Don't know what safety switches exist on your tractor, but first check all the levers that may prevent starting if engaged , then check all connections.

I agree, probably a safety switch. One thing I’ve learned is when lifting a max load, when you go to lower the load it gets very touchy. In other words it’s easy to drop the load to quickly like you describe.

As mentioned:
Start at the battery ground strap and check the connections and wires. Carry on with the rest of the wires and connections including all the safety switches. Then onto the control lever positions. Then go back to the battery ground connection making sure to look at both ends.

I agree with the other's.....check to see if something got jarred loose. Check the battery, cables, lever positions, switches, wire harness. Did you hit a lever or did your knee hit a switch when the FEL slammed to the ground?

I didn't mention that someone told me that maybe my one of the filters in the transmission were totally plugged up and the sudden force of trans oil jammed up a sensor. .and locked up the machine .I did service the unit all new filters and fluid nothing . It kind of made sense but no joy ..I'll start backtracking from the battery today thanks guy's!

Almost certain its at your battery connection either a terminal is loose or your ground strap isn't grounding out effectively. My 4400 had a similar situation. Ended up being a battery terminal where all the strands broke inside the insulation except for a few. Dash would light up but once try to draw cranking amps everything would cut out. 5 min. later I could reproduce the symptoms. Put new clamps on and hasn't been an issue since.

Well started at battery cleaned and tightened everything worked my up to the starter ,Put a tester on the hot wire going to the solenoid with the key on no power took apart the dash and cleaned the connections wiggled the key a bit and it started .Could have been a total fluke or more likely the loader coming down hard loosened up the connections ,but it's time for a new ignition. Key feels pretty sloppy ..Anyway problem solved I feel silly now .At least my tranny is serviced and I did replace an old battery..:] Thanks Guys!

I checked the date on my tractor battery last month,, the battery was made in 2012,, about TEN years old!!
AND, it still starts perfectly,,,
