4300 hst problem

I have a 4300 with a hst. I recently split it to reseal the front pump that is driven by the engine. Now when I push the forward pedal it moves in reverse. What did I put in backwards? Thank you

Try switching the plugs on the pedal potentiometers.

I only have one switch on the forward pedal. Anyone have any idea if I installed anything backwards?

Did you follow the service tech manual procedure?

Saw a suggestion there to mark the forward reverse rods before removal so it apparently is possible to mix the two up. One test might be to see if the cruise control works in reverse.. as normally it will not.

I dont think the 4300 is eHST so not the plugs. Mechanical linkage with position sensors. Different setup.

Most pumps and motors can be reversed by putting in the stator or valve plates in backwards based on the design. Either your linkage is hooked up wrong or the pump went together wrong.
