I also had the ROP's on my 180. loved it, I'm thinking I can make one just about as good and a little more customized for my needs. Was just curious to see if anyone had made their own and how it turned out.DHS said:

Don't make it too long. It seems that turning sharply when you are right next to a building can be a wee bit of a problem.

Even though I think yours was a little better built.The neighbor who I sold my PT to took it off. Said it made him cluster Phobic. Another reason for the home made rops idea, is so I can mate a soft cab this time easy on easy off, to my specs.

I bought one of these and reto-fitted it to my rops the first year I owned the 180. It worked pretty good, but the back was open to the elements, and the clear plastic would fog up!!

I will be buying a regular soft cab with a zippered door or something along those lines. I wondered about the fogging. I know you can buy some spray on solutions that supposedly keep your windows from fogging. I may try that along with making a few vents.
I had my cab almost completely enclosed but, keep a few places to open and vent if need be. Never had a fogging issue but, was wondering about carbon monoxide build up which never turned out to be a problem, as long as the back was sealed off completely away from the exhaust.

You could put a little hydraulic cooler in there with a blower fan and presto, heated cab and window defogger.

Yeah, I have one of those in an old pickup that the heater blower failed in. It didn't do a very good job at defrosting the window, but it did keep it defogged once I had the ice off of it.
