4115 hydro pedal bracket issue

Yesterday while mowing, my Father in Law ran into a problem with his 4115. Apparently when you get the discharge side of the deck elevated while mowing uneven ground, the mower driveshaft will contact the hydro pedal pivot shaft bracket making quite a racket. It finally broke the bracket and when he checked on the price it was $85!! The new bracket has been updated with a cut out that allows more clearance for shaft. I'm guessing that JD has had a number of failures here to justify the update. We were able to modify his by clearancing the original bracket and welding a gusset to the front cross strap to give it more strength.
All 4115 owners that have heard the noise this makes might want to check this out and modify your existing bracket before it breaks and save the $$$ JD wants for the part!!
