Howdy folks,
I'm thinking about upgrading my 3510 ind. tires to 4110 ag tires. I need ground clearance desperately for my 509 hoe and other things. I've seen a bunch of pictures of 4110 with ind. tires but no ags. Are they the same height (ag vs ind)? I've got about 7 inches of clearance in my wheel well, I'd love to gain 4+ inches of ground clearance.

BTW I talked to a tech from Mahindra in Texas and he said the tire swap from 3510 to 4110 is fine (as did Rick Wallace).

Has Rick Wallace sold any 4110's with ags? He might know. If its the 3510 gear, I think they are the same basic tractor with just engine differences.

4110 used 14.9x24 R1's which are about 49-50" diameter.
4110 used 16.9x24 R4's about 50-51" diameter.
3510 gear used 12.4x24 R1's about 45-46" diameter.

Those are for the rear. Fronts would have to be changed also. Those diameters are from TITAN web site and I suspect are without weight of tractor on the tire. But should give you some idea about fender clearance and comparison to your current rear tires for improved ground clearance. I also suspect that you will gain less at the fronts. The industrials will probably handle the weight better.

Yes it is the same tractor chassie, I been trying to get Mahindra to make it a option to get the 41 tires on the 35.

If anyone ever does make the switch you will not regret it!
What a difference.

Thanks for the figures Fredex. My current ind. tires are 43".
I'm leaning towards ag tires for the added traction.

Thanks Mr. Wallace, I plan on stopping up after work on Sunday.

I've gone the other way and put 3510 tires on the 4110 for a customer.

I hear you about the traction issue. One caution about R-1's. Your profile sez you have a back hoe. They are heavy. Ag tires tend to break inside around the lugs when regularly carrying heavy loads with light ply ratings and/or low air pressure. My brother's tire shop encounters this with farmers who buy cheap tires and don't watch their tire pressure while using a rear bale fork to feed heavy round bales daily. Get a heavier ply rating and run air pressure toward the high side if you carry the BH around a lot. Use tire mfgr ply-rating/pressure tables to match tire rating to your rear axle weight with the BH mounted.
Sorry if I got preachy on ya.

I have also thought about upgrading to the larger 4110 tires on my 3510. What would be the estimated cost on this?
