4110 or 4530

I am buying 29 acres and trying to decide on model. half of the land is pasture and will be bushhogged, the rest is rolling hills in the woods. We may clear some of it. There will be some treework, etc on the land just from trimming branches and cutting some. I plan on getting a grapple on the bucket to clean up brush quicker.

I like the 4110 because it is lighter and may be more maneuverable, but the 4530 has 1000 lbs more lift on the FEL. I have never owned a tractor before. They are priced the same. What do you guys think?

I just have a 3510 which is the same tractor as the 4110 except a smaller engine. It has all the lift it needs, the deciding factor is how much weight you want to hang off the back to keep the loader stable up front.
It looks like to me the 4530 is closer to 1800lbs heavier and does not have an rear auxilary remote. It also has a smaller electrical system and only 8 f/r speeds as opposed to the 12 speed tranny on the 4110.

Also, just an observation, I do like the larger front tire set up on the 4530 if nothing else. On my little tractor, those smaller front tires carry a pretty good load when you have the front bucket loaded and considering the weight the engine puts on them also.
Make sure you get a loader which will add weight also and I would imagine either tractor would make you a happy camper!

Both 4wd for the same money?
The 4530 is atleast half again the tractor the 4110 is.Yeah the 4110 will be more manuverable, but in my opinion the 4530 is much more tractor.

The more weight in a tractor equals more traction, more stability, and more lifting ability.

Just how much tractor does he really need to mow the pasture? Fuel consumption might be a thought also. Neither tractor is going to clear the woods, you would need a dozer for that.
I have about the same amount of land and the 3510 is just perfect, it sips the fuel and even when bush hogging, it only uses about a gallon an hour.
The 4530 is more tractor but suprisingly, no rear remote, fewer gears, and smaller charging system is a consideration.

Yes rear remotes are an option, I opted for two. I don't think the charging system is going to make that much of a difference unless you are planning to add half a dozen off road lights. My 4530 doesn't use more that a gallon an hour bush hogging either. If I were to do it again I would still get the 4530. Yes more weight does mean more power to the ground.

Buy the 4530 or a new 35 series.The 30 and 35 series are built by Mahindra. The 4110 is built by TYM for Mahindra and will be replaced by the new 35 series models.Look for the 10 series to be leaving for good. My opinion is that because TYM is trying to break into the USA market you may have problems in the distant futere when it comes to parts supprt. I have seen it happen with other MFG's that purchase products and then drop the line.

Just my opinion.

Both are fine tractors. There is no wrong answer here. But in your situation I'd probably go for the 4530 for its extra weight and greater FEL lift capacity.
