Deere 410 Backhoe
Hello, I have just gotten a john deere 410 backhoe. The hoe works slow, doesn't have the power to dig at all and the loader takes a very long time to lift. I mean you can hardly see it move. I have checked the sump/pickup screen and it was a little dirty but didn't change the operation at all. I am leaving toward the hydraulic pump as the problem but was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. Thanks in advance

Welcome to TBN
How long since hyd filters were changed?? I'd suggest to check hyd stand-by pressure which should be 2250 psi. Check frt hyd pump drive coupler to be sure coupler isn't slipping on pump shaft. If that doesn't help more diagnostics is needed before condemning frt hyd pump.

Thanks for the reply. It has had new filters, apparently the hydraulics have been slow for quite a while but have gotten so you can't use it now. What doesn't make sense is that the hoe works quite a bit faster than the loader and sometimes the loader doesn't work at all. So I was just going to see if anyone else has had a problem with one. I have a guy coming to put a pressure gauge on it and I'll go from there

Also the pump seems to be driven fine so the coupler is good. I checked that as well
