Looking great, that camera is pretty impressive for no more than it cost. Were did you get the cabinets, that along with installing the two 48” tool chests i bought to build a work bench with are my last items to finish in my shop.

Thanks. I’m super impressed with the camera, ordered another one last night so that I can see the NW corner door as well. Bought them at Lowes, $75 each I think. Money well spent I can tell already!

Looking at your shop, I am getting excited more each day about my shop. I normally have it too full to do anything over the winter, then have the travel trailers (mine and either Dad's or daughter's) out so I have some room in summer.. but other projects seem to keep me out of shop then.. Dad is storing his trailer elsewhere now, daughter likely just needed this one winter storage, they will have their own storage this coming winter we hope. That means I could actually use my shop instead of just having storage. My wife mentioned the other day that I should move storage rack out of garage into shop and kick the other daughter out of garage (let her park her car outside) so I can park my pickup in garage.. Wow, life goes on.. there is hope.

Started a food plot behind the shop this afternoon. Used the cultivator that Richard scored for me in the scrap pile last year to work the sod over. It was HARD! I should have plowed it last fall. Made three passes to get it churned up that much. Also, stole Richards disc from him, so I’ll let it settle a couple of days and then get after it with that.

Bought me some seed mix on the inter web, probably won’t grow at all here, but we’ll give it a shot.

I put a 1/2 lb of "butterfly attracting" seed mix in my front yard's flower bed....I'll never do that again. It was all weeds.

I probably should have just bought alfalfa,or clover, but decided I would try something different. Probably won’t matter, we have tons of corn and bean fields all around us so it’s not like they are looking for anything to eat.

People are going to expect me to do something besides play cards and drink beer in the shop if I keep this up!

Nice, they should serve you well. Update us how you like the transmission jack, I’ve been looking at them lately to upgrade from my old single stage that I have abused and needs replaced.

My buddy at Oreillys gave me a great deal on all three. They will all outlast me I’m sure!

Tonight’s project was to get the bolt bin up. Bought a kit online that came with everything. 1/4-3/4 grade 8 assortment. I had ZERO hardware in the shop before this. Going to save my pennies and get a metric set next.

Couple of neat old things I found while mushroom hunting the property this eve. I really stoked about the Ford emblem! I’m not even a Ford guy, but I can’t wait to hang it up somewhere in the shop.

That kind of looks like a 55-56 or so Ford car. If so, it was the first car I remember riding in (around 1963). Ours was 2 tone blue and white.

I would say a 1957 on the car and tree picture...

The 85 Ford emblem would place it between 1932-37... my knowledge bank of early V8 Fords is lacking compared to Model A's

Finally got the other building torn down and hauled off Friday! Looks so much better around the shop now. We have a landscaping guy starting next week. Can’t wait to see all the progress he makes. Doing a ton of stuff around the house and the shop.

The latest couple of projects in the shop.
IMG_2915.JPG
The RZR got an oil change and new front driveshaft u-joints. And it needed them! Factory nongreasable replaced with greasable ones. The Prowler is getting a rear end rebuild and all new greasable u-joints as well. I thought the pinion bearings were out of it but it ended up being the ujoints in the rear driveshaft when I tore into it.
IMG_2916.JPG
The pinion is like a third member in the Prowler and there’s no preload on it that can be adjusted.
IMG_2917.JPG
IMG_2918.JPG
Turns out the ujoints were locked up in the rear driveshaft making it out of round. It’s the second set of ujoints that have been put in it too. It exploded the original driveshaft with only a couple hundred miles on it. They are basically in a straight line and the rear end and tcase are both solid mounted. It has around 4000 miles on it so the second set last a bit longer.
IMG_2912.JPG
The front driveshaft is an engineering marvel, as in what engineer thought this was a good idea! You have to remove the ujoint on the vehicle to change it, or even to remove the flanges on the tcase and the front diff. Replaced the ujoints on the front driveshaft to greasable ones too.
IMG_2913.JPG
Built me a $15 dollar ujoint press to service them on the vehicle. It worked ok, at least got the job done.
