4052M PROBLEM QUESTION.

New to me tractor. 400 hrs. Today it had a new icon on dash High exhaust temp indicator. I got mixed up thinking it was the regen time..... Dash print out said to run engine at 1500. I did that . It ran for well over an hr and it didn't turn off. The throttle could be turned higher then 1500 but not lower. I putted the tractor home . then I shut it off. Tried to restart . No go... there is the engine low pressure light on dash. Oil levels fine but book says the oil filters is plugged?????. Am hoping then it cools down all will start again.

What do I look for?

I would say change oil and filters if it says they are plugged.

So I called a retired JD mechanic . Lives a few minutes away. He came up . Through the dash he looked at the soot amount was 68%. It started for him after cranking for 30 sec Dash asked for 1500 he set it at. 2200 RPM soot amount counted down over say 30 minutes to 15%. where the engine was able to drop below 1500rpm.
As a JD tech he said the regens don't always go off in auto mode so keep an eye on it.
