Kubota doesn't have a 3rd function kit for the MX5100. I went with the W R long kit. Easy to install and works fine.

The Land Pride kit #380-166A is made for Kubota loaders, I ordered one from our Kubota dealership. I have not started to install it as my shop is not heated and I am not planning on working on anything until this arctic weather heads north! The kit from my dealer was $735 including tax. I will post more after I have it on and running. If you google the part number for Land Pride it will take you to the adobe file for the kit. I called my dealer with the information and he ordered it for me. It took about a week to get it, but it might have been quicker if we didn't have a foot of fresh snow and record cold.

I understand the 3rd function set up especially for momentary use like grapples as we had a factory setup on our JD 6105 growing up for the bale grapple. I am now looking at running a hyd post hole auger up front on my tractor and had just assumed I would need to run larger lines from the rear remotes to reach 10+ gpm. I see the Long diverter is rated to 15gpm. So now as I consider this, are the diverters just momentary switch or could I use a toggle to select one output for extended uses such as the post hole auger and not risk burning out the electrics in the diverter? I dont think this is pirating the thread is it? Thanks

The solenoids are rated for constant use, so yes if you had a maintained switch, then you would just activate the switch and keep the joystick pulled over to provide the flow.

Not as I understand it, but I am new to this setup and still waiting for the Belltec unit that I ordered to arrive. I have 9.6 gpm flow available with the system on my MX. The powerhead that I order from Belltec requires a gpm flow 6-16 gpm. The Land Prided 3rd function valve provides uses the power beyond principle and should work according to what I have read and everyone that I spoke with at the NFM said the same. This is a dirt and rock auger system that is very slow turning as it grinds through rock. It uses bullets in the point and part of the auger blades. It is impressive to watch in the videos. I will be using the power beyond to turn the auger while the loader will supply the down pressure. Once again, everyone that I discussed this with advised me that there should be no problem.

This is in reply to TUL question.

I'm fixing to pull the trigger on a 3rd function valve kit, I've looked at the kit from everything attachments 3rd function auxilliary hydraulic kits for all brands of tractors and loaders! purchase online, free shipping within 1,000 miles!! (made by W R Long) it looks like a good kit and sells for around $840 with a $50 coupon so total will be around $790. tonight i saw this kit from construction attachments, Construction Attachments Dedicated Third Function Hydraulic Valve Kit, Includes Hoses Can anybody tell me which is the better kit to buy. the kit from construction attachments is a fair amount cheaper but i wouldn't want to buy it if it is gonna be sub par. If there is another kit to look at please let me know. I know i could put one together myself cheaper but i really know nothing about hydraulics and i'm scared i would get in over my head, I can follow instructions good so if somebody could give me detailed instructions and a detailed parts list this would be the only way i would try to piece a kit together my self. thanks for any help or advice.
I look through this thread twice, did I miss it or did you pull the trigger yet, myself I'm still looking at the gun to see if I can afford the bullets. I didn't see the answer to the question ether, so right now my choice is the 3rd function setup from (Construction Attachments) because I like the looks of their control grip better, and the selling point for me is the 3 part step by step setup video on YouTube, on a Kubota tractor like mine L3400. I now have to find where these kits are sold so I can get a price.

I did see one post about the 3rd function control kit from (Everything Attachments) with no YouTube videos on installment, but looked like a satisfied customer anyways. Not sure what everyone is using the control for, but for me I want to get a thumb grapple on my bucket, now back to looking for a good online $$ and who sells them.

I just bought and installed a 3rd function valve kit on my MX from Land Pride. It was $685 complete plus tax. It is designed for Kubota tractors. There are specific kits for each series tractor and loader the kit for the MX 5100 and 4700 is 380-166A, the number for your 3400 will be the same alpha numeric type of nomenclature. If you Google your tractor and loader numbers you most likely will get a hit. Or you can call Land Pride and they will give you the number for you tractor and loader. Your local Kubota dealer can also help you. There are also a lot of them on Ebay. I liked the one from Land Pride as it was designed for my tractor a loader. It was about a 3 hour install project. I am waiting on a hangar for the hoses now. This is a Kubota part and wasn't offered until the MX5200 series. It will work just fine, but you will have to weld a threaded plate for it or drill and tap the loader arm. It cost $38. Just follow the instructions that are available from Land Pride they are clear and easy to understand.

Sorry I haven't been online lately but to answer your question I did pull the trigger. I bought the everything attachment 3rd function kit. Installation was not hard at all, customer service was great too. Other kits may be cheaper but this is a good option.

I went on Land Pride site, they show a dealer near me, UFE, it's where I bought my tractor. I'm bout due to skip down there for this that and the other thing, while I'm there I'll get a price on a 3rd function setup. But right now I'm liking that 3rd function setup from (Construction Attachments), they have installation YouTube videos on the same tractor I have with showing the same color tape on the hoses. Nothing about welding a threaded plate or something to something, just unbolt this and that, then add on that and this, then Wah-lah it's back together. So far I only found ONE place online that sells it, called (Idaho Implements), not sure what state it's in though. Nothing on Ebay around here that fits my L3400, and the 3rd. function that did show was $900.00, ouch.

(Everything Attachments) is my second choice, only because I here that their customer service is great, the best in the land I here, actually I didn't hear it, I read it. When you get some time, get a picture of the control handle, I want to see how it bolts on and get a look at the control buttons, and do have this for a FEL grapple?
