3pt lawn dethatcher

MadReferee, Used my/your dethatcher the other day. Modified your plans to use what I had laying around. The major change was to turn the frame over & use the sides to support the rake teeth instead drilling the holes for the stablilzer bolts, and I used different teeth. I used 3" angle for the 3Pt universal mount. I still need to fab the legs from some of the scrap I have laying around. The bad news is I don't have a digital cam, so can't get Y'all pictures.

Hey guys....after my first mowing this year, I determined that I needed to build one of these also, but here's my question. What do you do with all the material that you pull out of the grass? I have about 5 acres of lawn that needs to be dethatched, and I'm not going to go around with a hand rake and a barrel to pick it all up. How does it collect on the rakes? can it be easily deposited at a single location?

Thanks!
Dave

If you go HERE and scan down about eight replies you will find one by MikeD that explains how he handles the debris. His is a common way for handling dethatched debris.
