3pt Jack

Back when I had my 35 Massey I collected all the owners amnuals and shop books I could find. In one of the owners manuals there were instructions on how to use your 3pt hitch to jack up the rear of the tractor.
I didn't get it then and don't get it now. Has anyone come across this.

I am not sure if this is what you are talking about but I have a rear end jack in the barn that was made for a 8 or 9 n ford and will work on a massie. It is a frame with two u shaped cups that fit under the axes and i guess you hook it to the 3 point to cantalever it up off the ground. When i get the chance i will take a picture of it.

Our Ford 641 came with a couple of frames that mounted to the 3-pt and were used to raise the back off the ground. My dad used this to widen the tractor by swapping sides with the wheels so the offset was reversed. I was just a kid but I remember his struggling to roll the loaded tires/wheels from one side to the other. It seems you could also change the way the frames fit against the tractor and raise the front end up too.

But that has been more than fourty years ago.

On my 4010, I can easily raise one of the rear wheels by placing a floor jack underneath one side of the frame/differential area just below the 3pt.
