3830 GST noise

My kubota makes a growling/churning noise coming from the front of the trans area. If the clutch is disengaged it stops. Its only noticeable to me when the shuttle is in netural.The noise is worse when the unit is hot and in the upper gears of each range. Sixth & 12th being the loudest. The dealer says its a hydraulic fluid noise. I did listen to a 3130 & 3830 on the lot and they both made this noise but to a much lesser degree. I didn't get them hot, as it was a sunday and I was using my "spare" key to try them out. Anyone had this "problem" /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif?

I have not had that problem but i did think that the throw out bearing was a bit noisey but when I paid closer attention to detail it was only a virabration from the loader.

Mine makes no noise that I can hear when not moving. Dosen't sound right. I persume the trans oil is full. I've tested a few GST tractors and none had any trans noise in netural that stood out. I run mine in 6th most of the time and get off and on, never heard a noise over the engine.

Does the noise happen at idle, do you keep the rpms up? If it sounds like other tractors, then it's probably normal.

The noise does happen at idle and it may be normal, but it sure is annoying at only 26 hrs. Well, thats why they have warranties I guess. If she comes apart, then it'll be easy to find what was the cause.

Well, I read the post, and listened to my 3410 GST a few days ago - no noise, not hot or cold, at least that was evident above the diesel noise (and I've got about 200 hours on the unit). For that matter, no hydraulic fluid or oil consumption has been evident between servicing. Now, in 4WD drive while making a sharp turn there's a bit of growling, but that's expected.
Hope you figure it out, and get it remedied to your satisfaction.
