Branson 3520h
I watched a video of a guy changing transmission oil on a 3520R and he pulled a screen out on the right side just in front of the brake cover. When I removed that cover on my 3520H there was no screen there, is there no screen on the H model or am I missing parts on mine?

There should be a screen unless someone took it out and left it out. Pull up a John Deere parts diagram on one of the parts sites and look at it. Should show you where the screen is. If I recall some were in the back of the return loop. I will look it up.

I don’t see one on the parts diagram for the 20 series H models. Hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in but at this point I would say no screen.

He is working on a Branson 3520H not a JD.

I think the filter I posted is for the auxillary hydraulics. There should be a screen filter in the transmission on the suction side. It’s been a while since I worked on one of those. Finding parts diagrams is more difficult than it used to be.

Hopefully it never had one and my machine wasn’t molested by some half assed mechanic. At 534 hrs. the oil doesn’t look like it has been changed before.

I wouldn't be bothered too much if there is or there isn't a screen on the tractor because Branson puts the hydraulic filter on the suction side of the pumps, so the extra screen would just create restriction pretty much.
