345 trans slipping

The relief valves that I'm talking about are in the hydro pump. I believe that these are the part nos. --- AM879690 and AM879691.

Thanks. I am going to look into them. You would think there would be a test port for pressure and they would mention them in the troubleshooting chart.
Haven't gotten home early enough to catch up with the neighbor.

Update, used the 345 to mow without the vac. I was surprised that the tractor performed almost the same. Good when starting out but as it warmed up it whined and would barely backup a small grade. After mowing for 4-5 hours I could still put my hand on the trans at the back of the tractor so an excessively hot trans or pulling the heavy vac is not the problem. Decision time. Open it up or replace it? (The trans)

I have gotten the hand me down 345 with the 18hp 590v in pretty good shape except after changing both hydraulic filters and oil in the transmission, it slips under load. When using the yard vac, it won't back up against any real grade and struggles in forward against hills. At 1287 hours I think it probably wasn't maintained very well before I got it. The question is, with the factory tech manual in hand, do I attempt to overhaul it or opt for another trans with low hours? I have found a few on eBay under $1000. Opinions?

Just curious; does that thing use Lo-vis Hygard or something else for trans fluid?
