Tractor
2013 Deere 4320 cab, 180 loader, 485 backhoe, 2021 Deere 1023e, Vermeer trencher, 2022 Deere 26g
I have been looking for a new tractor. Right now I have a Case DX45 with a L350 loader. I love it but I need some thing smaller for my land.

The other day I stopped in a John Deere dealer and looked at a 3320 they had. I really liked the way it looked the features it had and how it drove.

I had the dealer give me a price for it out the door. They gave me a price of 24k delivered to my house. The tractor had CX300 loader, 72" mmm w/quick hook up, R4 tires, ehydro, front and rear work lights, canopy, and two rear remotes.

I don稚 know anyone with a machine like this or close to it, I was wondering any input on this tractor strong points or weaknesses. If this good price and a good tractor or should I keep looking.

Any info or help would be great thanks

Just do a search for 3320. You'll find a wealth of information.

I checked one out about 2-3 years ago. Nice machine...but all I really wanted was the reverser transmission and I didn't want tractor payments for another 4 or 5 years, so I passed.

Anyway, the power was good (32 Engine, 25 or so HP at the PTO). Definitely a nice tractor for someone looking to maintain 5 acres or so.

Well not sure what kind of work you are planning to do, but I love my 3320. It has always done what I have asked of it and really surprised me more then once. It will mow 6 to 8 ft tall weeds in a single pass with my MX5, and that is taking them down to a couple inches in height. It handles my 2 bottom Dearborn plow all the way down. It pretty much man handles my 5ft off set disk that has 2, 4ft train track rails on it for weight. I don't know what the disk weighs but it is not light. Even with the fel on the front when I lift the disk the front end gets lite. I have the Power reverser tranny and really don't think I would ever have anything else. Good luck with what ever you decide, but I am one happy 3320 owner. I don't think you would be disappointed.

From a durability/reliability standpoint, I wouldn't hesitate at all if you like the tractor. I've had a JD 3720 with ehydro (cab version) for a little over 3 yrs now and it's been rock solid. It had an A/C cooling issue when new which turned out to be very minor and covered under warranty. IMHO, there is not a better competitive tractor in the 3X20 class.

I have 5 acres that i take care of plow snow, brush mow, digging a pond, mow the grass, and move logs. I also bring it to my parents house to cut brush and grade a 3/4 mile of road. My wife likes to cut the grass that is why i am looking at the john deere with the drive on quick deck.

Sparker, it sounds like the work you intend to do the 3320 would be a good match. I think you would like it. As far as durability I had one problem under warranty, and that was just a bad steering cylinder. My dealer came about 30 miles to my job site diagnosed and fixed it at my location. I now have close to 400 hours with out so much as a hiccup. I know it's not alot of hours but that's what shes got. I have not broken anything on it. It's a very solid unit.

I have had my 3320 for two years and it has been great. You might consider getting the power beyond added to the rear the automotive cruse control sense you will be mowing. If you have a lot of trees and brush you might consider the Frontier 4in1 bucket instead of the heavy duty 5' bucket. A set of forks will be the next handiest thing to get. I have the E-hydro but have heard good things about the power reverser.

On the down side the hood will not stand up to a log falling out of the loader bucket when it is around zero outside. It also lacks power when pulling a load down the road in high range like a rack wagon full of hay or a trailer loaded with fire wood. Both pretty heavy loads.

Dan,

JD's engineering staff will be contacting you shortly... They like to gather additional information from users who - "utilize their tractors beyond design specifications"!! :D

Dan,
That's a little severe.

That may be a pretty common occurrence with any loader but there is an easy solution.:D

I've had a 3320 (hydro) since 2006 and it's been amazing. I have the 300CX front-end loader, 5' box blade, 5' scrape blade, 447 back hoe, 5' rotary mower, 2-bottom plow, 5' disc harrow, and 3 point trailer hitch. The tractor has been really good with no loss of power for me. I have the R4 tires and lose traction from time to time (no weights or loaded tires) when in 2wd. I just pop it in 4wd and that usually solves the problem.

Hi Matt,
Nope! Saw the dealer has the 485 BH and the HD loader in. They gave me a July 22 date for the tractor, I my call my dealer later this week though. Chores are piling up!

Boy once you have a tractor it's like losing an arm when you're without one.

Best,
Rob

3520 here - slight more powerful brother to the 3320 and no show stoppers here. Good Unit, nice unit to work with.
