Hi. My grandfather purchased a new JD 3320 Cab tractor about a year ago. The unit now routinely blows excessive black smoke and engine-knocks upon start-up, and sometimes during normal operation. He uses it mainly for light mowing (lawn, not brush) and occational loader work at his truck shop. The dealer dynoed the machine and changed the air filter which seemed to temporarily fix the problem. But he still has the problem, even in warm weather. He says the smell of diesel exhaust inside the cab occationally reaches the nausiating level! The tractor has just over 70 hours. Has anyone had such a problem in this series? Could it be a bad injector? Thanks for any input!
