3225 Starter

I started a thread and hit wrong key Sorry. I need a little help. The tractor will not start if I turn the key, however if I turn the key on and jump the starter it will run ,Is the solenoid bad? Sully

Could be a solenoid or ignition switch or one of the safety switches. With a test light you can find the problem quickly...
