318 Traction Problems

Somewhere in the years gone by, a member (think it was TBN) built a weight tray just ahead of the rear wheels and under the foot pads. Slid suitcase weights in there and sounds like this is some of the weight distribution effect you are finding.

Great hearing some results from your experiments Monster318. I have a level driveway and right now plow with chains and 4 25lb. bags of #6 lead shot under the seat. I tend to lose traction pushing piles back and am looking to improve this. Was thinking about some wheel weights. If the testing is still going on, keep the results coming.

I see your from NEPA...where abouts? There is an antique engine show and swap meet I attend regularly in Bangor, PA...There is a guy that comes there and sets up and usually has alot of JD 300 series used parts...I know he has had a few sets of wheel weights for sale every time I have been there...Not sure what type of person you are but I always rather go with something used (well depending on what it is really..but for this type of stuff its okay) before spending the big bucks to buy brand new...
