They are regular 37 degree flares. I used a Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool to do the flares.

On a rear blade to adjust the angle of the rear blade. The top would adjust the angle of attack the tilt would adjust the blade to follow the ground as it lays and the blade angle adjusted by the 3rd.

On a box blade the usual top and tilt, and for the same reasons, and a 3rd for hydraulic rippers..

James covered it. I also plan to add a hydraulic dump trailer in the future.

And in the OP's case, it's little more money to add 3 over 2. If he rarely uses the 3rd it's still better than needing a 3rd and it not be there. Go 3 every time money allows it.

Also it takes the same amount of fittings, line & time no matter if you are installing a 1 or 3 spool valve.

The total cost of the 3 spool install was still less than if I had got the John Deere single rear valve, plus I also have a power beyond that I would have been able to have with the JD rear valve.
