3 PT. Hitch clearance ?

When looking at the 3PT set up of my new L3010 I noticed that the clearance was less than 1/4" on each tire sidewall from the telescoping stabilizer. This is with a Land Pride FDR1560 mower on it and turf tires (Rear 41x14-20). I did notice a little evidence of rubbing on the tire. My question is is this a normal amount of clearance, and if not what can I do to fix it ?

Are the pins on the mower deck facing out? Turning them to face each other will give some more clearance.

No pins to turn out. The mower pins are the slip through kind and just get pinned in. Thanks anyway.

3 ptl is one of those standards that sems to interpreted a little bit differently by each tractor and implement manufacturer. http://www.walterscheid.com.au/www3ptcat/3ptframe.htm

Quite often implements and tractors are built for one category say cat 0 and converted to use another cat 1.

If rubbing is a problem and cannot be eliminated by adjustment
you may have to modify the pin position.

Another option is to set the rear tires to a wider stance by reversing them (turf) or exchanging from left to right sides (ag or industrial).

GARY:not really familar with L3010. but do know that no tire rub is normal. i would check with both the tractor dealer and the implement dealer.

ok, what about a longer "slip thru" pin with a hole drilled thru the end to accept the clinch pin at the inside position?Or, is there room to attach cat1 lift pin aimed in and use the nut to retain it in the window where pin used to slip thru?

I have pillow die turfs on my 3010 and do not have any rubbing, in fact it is not even close. My wheels are set up for wide stance (reversed).
