I hope someone here can lead me in the right direction for what I consider to be an inexcusable problem. Brandy new XR4040C straight from North Carolina. The problem: with nothing attached to the 3 pt hitch it raises and lowers as you would expect, however attach an implement with some weight and raising said implement shakes the entire tractor. It's as though the weight limitation has been met or exceeded.
Here's the "hitch" - if the tractor is in motion (above idling rpm) then the jerky positioning (raising only) calms down some.
So far the dealership is stumped and has elevated the matter to a regional tech with LS. Haven't heard from him (her) yet.
We've played with the control for lowering speed, moved the draft control from forward to aft and vice versa, changed the top link from the middle hole (on the tractor) to the bottom with no change. I even removed the top link all together which as you might guess made no difference.
I checked the hydraulic fluid level today and it is about 1/3 between low and full. The loader works well just a little slow compared to my R3039.
I know time is money and who am I to tell LS or anyone else for that matter how to run their business but would it throw production a curve to actually load test the loaders and 3 points before shipping?
If I was talking about the R3039 I would still gripe but would load it on the trailer and take it to the dealer if required. But the XR4040C exceeds the load rating of my trailer so now I'll have to pay someone to transport it if necessary. (blah blah)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
