3 Point lift capacity

Does any one have any idea what the maximum lift capacity of the 3 point on an 1820D is? I was wandering if I could move a round bail of hay. I know this may be pushing it's limits ( or maybe exeding them?) and i'm sure i would have to subtract the weight of the carry all. I think the tractor can handle it (because of it's weight with the FEL) i'm just not sure what the rated lift weight is. thanks rccoyote

I don't know the lift capacity but you are probably only limited by your tractor weight and mechanical hookups, (weakest point). On my YM2000, I have caught my box blade in a root a couple of times and when I tried to lift it the front of the tractor lifted instead with 220 # weights. You can lift a house with a very small hydraulic jack.

I know of a man, that uses a YM 1700 in a lot where they sell the trailers to carry the tractors and other things. He told me, that they would lift just about anything you put on them. That he had lifted the tractor off the ground many times, when it weighed too much. So I think it would probably lift it, but would it hurt it? Maybe Len would know about what should be the max for it, to lift.

The limiting factor on what the 3 point can pick up will probably be the weight on the front of the tractor. If you're trying to picking up more than the capacity of the hydraulics , I'd think the relief valve would release . 500 lb bale-------yes, 1000------------maybe,, 1500------------I doubt it.

The YM226D is a similar size USA model. Per the service manual, 1168lbs at the lower link and 816lbs 24" back. This confirms what lens wrote.

PS, if the front tires are in the air, just steer with the brakes!
