3 point hitch noise

2013 Kubota B3200 HST. Have “whining” noise when raising implements. This noise happens after tractor has warmed up and operated for a while. Only happens with 3 point hitch and not loader iCloud Photos - Apple iCloud

Yeah, I hear it. Thanks for the video. That sounds to me like the 3pt relief valve. I'd guess it has a piece of crud stuck somewhere in that relief valve or else the "hold shut" spring broke inside the relief valve. Either way, it's not an uncommon problem. Relief valves do need service from time to time.

The cure is to take the relief valve out, clean it up, and with luck you can re-use the old parts. Relief valves in most of the hydraulic system are generally easy to access.

I can't say exactly where the relief valve is on the B3200 HST - but they are all similar. Do you have a shop manual or plan to do this yourself?

Parts books are also handy for visualing how things fit together. Messicks.com has a complete set of parts books for every Kubota....although their way of dispaying the information takes a bit of getting used to.

None of this means that we have correctly identified the problem, but that noise you in the video you posted moves the 3pt relief valve right to the top of my list.

Here are some pages from an old workshop manual that might help. I believe the relief valve is located at the front right hand of the seat. If you sit on the seat, lean a little forward, and drop your hand past the outside of your right thigh you ought to just about touch it.
