3 Point Hitch Hoist

I too am wondering about the intended use...it looks like the winch is in the way of any vertical lift...or if not in the way, it's a least in the swing zone. With the existing design, it could be mounted on the tractor side.

Looks like some good building there, but like the others....

1. small wheels under it like Ag Crane has on some of their models will help it out - you'll find the front gets real light, and the rear tires get real loaded down, without.

2. The top link looks like it will be overloaded with a real load on it.

3. I too worry about thw winch location, woulda been in a safer spot on the tractor side of the frame.

I would have liked to do that but it would get in the way of the top link.

The first thing I did with it was to pull a round cement footer out of the ground. It was just something I wanted to try and build with some stuff I had around the house. The only items I had to purchase was a pulley, hitch pins and the steel plates at the top of the hoist.

It's still a work in progress. One thing I am considering for lifting things is to have some kind of outriggers to keep the front of the tractor from being pulled up.

One project I was planning on was lifting logs up at one end and dragging them out of the woods.

Nice job. I wonder if a fold down stand under the 3ph lift arms would lesson the stress on the top link. When you're done working on whatever needed lifting, simply fold them up out of the way (like outriggers on a back hoe) and then drive off. Roger

That's a good idea, it would put most of the stress on the lift where I want it and not on the front end of the tractor.

More power to ya friend. I have had lots of people ask me why I did something....Because I felt like it, and wanted to and because I can!! Good enough for me!!

Nice job!!
