Hi,
I have a YM2210D and recently the 3 pt hitch has started to bounce once an implement has been lifted. I have done the following.
1. Replaced the Trans / Hydraulic oil.
2. Pulled and Cleaned the screen
3. Removed the 3pt Valve group
4. Removed / Cleaned the control valve, ensured there was no scoring or binding of the spool.
5. Remove and inspected Main Relief Valve.

The 3pt drops when the engine is not running , but doesn't drop when the stop valve is closed ( suggesting the piston seals are OK) Also if lifted slowly you can stop the bounce but the 3pt drops and lifts again , instead of holding the implement at a certain level.

Looking for any ideas what it might be ???

Thanks
Pete

Mine started bouncing too, and I found that adjusting the hydrolic flow based on the weight of each impliment solved it in my case.

Check the sensing linkage. It may have workrd loose or out of adjustment.

Since it "drops" you have a leak somewhere. :( The speed control valve is a 2nd way to stop the oil flow. Your leak must be before the speed control valve but in that system.

After it drops so far the position control valve opens and raises it again. You now have a bouce.

Someone else may have an idea as to where the leak is.

I had one doing that. It was as simple as putting a shim on the adjustment spring for tension on the control lever. The lever was slipping and changing the setting. The wear washer had worn to where it wasn't tight.

I had another go at fixing this problem , but it has me stumped , I have gone through the 3pt valve again, I pulled the piston , removed all the valves . It still bounces , does anyone have a good hydraulic schematic for a 2210D . I need to track down where it might be leaking , the sensing rod isn't out of adjustment .

Thanks,
Pete

G'day All,

I have finally fixed the bouncing problem of the three point , there was a valve that I hadn't looked at, even though I thought I had looked at them all.
Just had to leave the problem , go and rebuild a 3304 Cat engine ( 955L in chassis), then return with revitalized attitude.

I have attached a zip file that contains a powerpoint presentation. if you don't have powerpoint let me know an I'll post the photo's .

I hope this follow up helps someone else with the same problem, but for what it's worth I now know a lot more about my 3pt............... Oh also replaced the diff lock fork .

For some reason I can't open your zip file. Says that file is not valid

I was able to unzip the file and look at the presentation. Great job!!:D There is such a sense of satisfaction in finding the problem and fixing it.

I get "no files to extract" when attempting to extract them.

It worked beautifully for me--This is what I did. right clicked on the file in the post, chose "save link to" (saved it to my desktop), right click on saved file, chose "extract here", a powerpoint file was created that I could click on and PP opened, chose "view slide show."

Try again and if it does not work for you, send me a pm with your email address and I will send it to you email.

It opened right up on my Mac. Nice job!

*note( I have been a PC guy since there were PCs until a couple months ago i got my first Mac. You could not give me another PC now.)

That's exactly what I tried (again). PM Sent - I'm eagerly awaiting... this sounds like something I'll need to do in the future.

Would it be to much trouble to post the pictures of your repair. I do not have Powerpoint. I would love to see what you did. I have a 2210 and I constantly stockpile info for future repairs. Thanks!!

I will do it for him. They are in the order given in the PP.
