Would you consider the one from rueg to be equal to that of OEM? I have not found any negative comments on their kits.

I've only heard positive things about their 3pt, they are on E-Bay at $411.00 and I do not know how that compares to the John Deere price. I think they are equal in quality. They do not make one for the X 700 series and so it's not an option for me. I just have a tendency to buy John Deere since any problems with it, I can go to a local dealer.

Got a hold of Ruegg and he says Deere moved the lift cylinder on X7 series so it although his unit will bolt up, the lift will not work.

i think there is a work around for that, i remember moving the
JD 3ph from one customers trade in to his new tractor, and
i had to move the lift cylinder from under the middle of the
tractor to accommodate the 3ph. It may be what is required
for the aftermarket hitch.

I don't recall the J Deere hitch costing much more than the Ruegg hitch, maybe an extra $100+. Seems when I bought this the 3PH was around $500 and the pto was $700. Sure makes a difference in how useful the mower is.
