is there any such thing as a utility vehicle that comes with a pto and 3 point hitch. i have checked a few websites and haven't seen any mention of them. although deere does say there are over 50 attachments for the gator. also bobcat has the toolcat, but that is a little over my price. any help would be apreciated.
thanks,

I'd doubt there would be any uses for having a PTO or 3pt on a utility vehicle, unless that vehicle was heavy enough (i.e. more expensive /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ) to handle the attachments one would hang back there and do 'work' of any significance.

But, don't know what you have in mind for attachments that need PTO or 3pt. What say you? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

beenthere,
thanks for the reply. sometimes it takes someone else to point out the obvious. after reading about the toolcat i guess my mind got ahead of me. i was thinking about a soil conditioner/ harley rake rockhound type of attachment. no was a light utility vehicle would be able to lift it. i run a backhoe and being too light is never as much a problem as how much grass am i going to tear up. weight wasn't even thought of. lol. better stay with the cut idea.
thanks,

There was some posts of something called a "Tructor" that has sort of a jeep like vehicle with a three point, etc. It was around $50K as I recall. Or you could find a Crosly Farm-O-road made in the 40s or 50s...

The only UTV I know of that has a 3pt hitch and 540 RPM pto is the Red Rover. They're look to be quite impressive, though a bit on the homely side. Maybe their looks grow on you? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The US importer is in Dublin, Georgia.

You have a few options, but they will be heavy, expensive and limited in capability.

Your first and most expensive option is the unimog. It's expensive, heavy and difficult to maneuver compared to a smaller UTV.

Your second option is the Bobcat toolcat. There are a few people working on aftermarket 3PH/PTO setups, but they are pricey on top of the already expensive tool cat.

I've heard of people rigging up a 3PTH to gators, etc... but they won't be good for too much weight.

What exactly is your goal?

I seem to remember seeing a 2 seat UTV with a 3 pt. PTO. It was japanese and I think it was a gray market. I will search for it.

thanks for the replies. the attachments i had in mind are on the heavy side. that red rider looked interesting. but for the money i could get a utv and compact tractor.

HI

We have a John Deere Pro Gator in the UK - which has a hydraulic 'y' driving pto as well as 3 pnt linkage attachments. The only hassle is that we have to take the load body off whilst using the 3pnt linkage.

I'd love to see that. I've been hauling half-cubic metre loads of sand in my Kawasaki Mule and I was very impressed with how well it handled that load. As long as you don't oversize the implement, traction is probably your limiting factor. I'm also skeptical about how strong the CVT transmissions are over the long-term.

Another poster posted about this UTV.

It has a PTO. Click here to view more

The Goldoni Transcar is a whole different class of vehicle in my estimation. Comparing it to Gator, RTV, or Mule is like comparing a riding lawnmower to a CUT. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I'd classify the Goldoni as a specialty construction grade utility hauler. Very cool! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I was just hoping to see the Gator with a PTO and 3PH. I don't want one, but I'd love to see how it was mechanized. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

When we designed that 3 point linkage for the Progator the general feed back we got back from the Green keepers was that with the bed in place it made it difficult to see you implement.. Give me a shout back let me know how the linkage performs. Linkages are made for the Toro workman and the cushman
