Aha! Thanks Crazyal, I knew someone in the universe had to manufacture a new 3 bottom. I'm checking on the price, and I'll let y'all know how much.

I have have had that line of plows in my catalog for over 25 years and It is the same quality as we have been telling you about. I won't sell a AB unless the customer is just doing light gardening. Back to square 1 at EA. Ken Sweet

Check out Ken Sweet's 3-16 International. It looks to be a real sweetheart of a plow. I know if it were me, I'd be all over that one.
I would take the advice of Ken Sweet and others. You will be disappointed with that "new" light duty AB plow with CAT 1 hitch. Most JD 3-bots are Cat 2 and much heavier than the AB.
You don't even really need a 3-bottom plow for your 5-10 acres. In a few hours or a full day you can have it plowed with a 2-bottom depending on the field layout and how much turning is involved.
If it were me I'd just disk it, plow with a used plow and maybe disk again.
As someone else said be sure you can adjust your tractor wheels to work with whatever mounted plow you buy. On FWD Kubotas the fronts may not be very adjustable. If you can find a used 2-bottom rollover or switch plow, that would work good too. They are out there.

I appreciate all the advice, especially buying used instead of new. I ended up getting a used Ford 3-bottom plow from a local dealer for $350. It did not have coulters, which ends up not mattering as much as I thought. It is in good condition and really allows me to rip up a lot of ground in a fairly short amount of time. After that I'm discing it, and it will make for a great seedbed for my corn and pumpkins. It's almost planting time :thumbsup:
