Just thought I'd say that got my tractor back from the dealer with loader problem fixed. It seemed to have a bypass somewhere (a small leak) as the bucket would drop to the ground fairly quickly - but it wasn't easy to detect? ... it seems the problem was that the cylinder "packing" was defective (anyone else had that?).

The main thing is that it works fine now ... and it is snowing so I just gotta go out there and give er a whirl!

Piston seals are very common for a problem like this. It was difficult for the dealer to diagnose?

Delaer was able to find the problem fairly quickly ... the problem didn't appear until I had some work done on the joystick - when I got it back I noticed the difference. Hence I though it was related to the earlier work - but apparently not. I have had actual seals done on other tractors before - but I have never had to replace a complete cylinder before (I have a 35 yr old IHC that has had a number of seals done over the years - still has the same cylinders!)
