This is one of those things you just don't notice - until you use it I guess.

Got to working with my box blade on the new 2520 yesterday.
Of course, a lot of trial and error adjusting the tilt of the blade. As I am turning the top link up and down, I feel that something is different (from the 2210). Got to looking at it, and it has no handle sticking out the middle of the body to help turn it. Then also notice that there is just a plain locknut - where I would need a wrench to loosen it if it got tight.

So I take a look at the TSC site, and this is what I am missing:

Guess I am going to have to buy one - the standard one on the 2520 just won't do it for me.

If you've got access to hydraulics know-how, you can also look into a Top-N-Tilt - very useful for a box blade (and a fun little introduction to real-world hydraulics for me :))

Ohh - I do want a top-n-tilt for sure, and will get a setup eventually.

Will get into a couple bucks between the power beyond and the rest.

In the meantime, I need a top link that is easier to adjust.

To be honist , its still going to be difficult...:( with weight of box blade or balist box. unless you put them flat on the gound. even with long screw driver , it was still difficult...:(

Thats why me and KennyD is setting up a Hydraulic top link and 2 spool valve on mine.;)
Well i will set it up. Kenny is superviser. and tells me what i need..:D

I may need to send him a plane Ticket....:p

So is that what that loop on the body of the top link is for?
A screwdriver so you can turn it easier?

Or a Craftsman 1-1/8" box wrench... doesn't slip out quite as easy as a screwdriver when you really get to crankin' on it!

Well see, I learned something today - always a good thing.

Now that I know this, I think I will keep the original top link as it seems to be a good heavy one.

I'll experiment with a couple different tools for turning it.
I will have to visit the "2520 tool box" thread again now.
