JD 2520
Ordered 36 days ago and it finally arrived. Thanks to all on this site as I searched and read every post I could find on the 2520. I ended up ordering it site unseen as there were none in the state that the dealer could find.

Spend about 3 hours on it today moving 14 cubic yards of mulch. Will take some getting used to from the 455 I did have. Need to try the mower next.

Congrats /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif...looks like a nice machine! I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, hoping for delivery this weekend also, but I'm looking at another week or so. Enjoy, and post some more photos. I'd like to her your first impression, I made my purchase sight unseen also.

Nice machine. Pick up a iMatch quick hitch for your three point. You can drop yor blade in a minute. You will save your self a lot of time. I have the old quick hitch for JD blade and a new iMatch for my BB, pulverizer, TR3, 72RM.

Thanks everyone. I'm quite excited about it. I'm 49 years old and this is the first tractor and first mowing equipment that I have bought brand new. Got to mow today for about 30 minutes and what a dream to run. As you can see in our yard, I don't have a lot to mow around. When we built 11 years ago, this was a pasture, but we have planed our entire yard so very little trimming is needed. All trees will have mulch around them in a radius that matches the tractors turning capability. I have never owned a push mower while living here.

Gunmaker - I hope you get your machine soon. Living on the edge of a lake, I was always concerned about stability, but mowing along the water edge it seemed very stable. Once I figured everything out, I'm very satisfied with a lot of the engineered solutions they have incorporated.

Cliff - The arbor you are seeing is the picture is something I built 25 years ago for my wife for our first anniversary. It's not much to look at, matter of fact, you can't hardly see it, but it has sentimental value to us. We even brought it with us to this location when we moved. The flowers you see are 2 varieties. The purple on on the top is a Wisteria. The one below it that is pinkish is a Domesticated Pink Honeysuckle. Hummingbirds just love them.

stb - I paid $18K but traded in a JD 455 which knocked the price down to $13K. Don't have the exact number as the dealer just dropped it off on Saturday. I haven't signed the papers yet nor do I have the manuals yet. We will do that Monday night. My salesman lives about 1 mile from me and was out of town this weekend, but he made sure it was delivered as soon as they got it ready. Great service! Did the 3 years at 0%.
