I've been looking for a decent 10' cutter...
Found this one locally not 2 miles from the house...
Know the farmer and family...
I checked it out last week...
Looks good and has the original paint...
One gearbox has been replaced...
Was shedded most of it's life...
Has a small crack at the back but I can fix that...
I've got him down to what I think is a reasonable price...
He will let me run it and actually he shreded some corn stalks with it couple weeks ago...
Worked fine...
He has another 10 footer pull type with 1000 PTO and does not need this one...
Nothing wrong with it...
My resident expert on here has given it a thumbs up...
I think it is a good value...
Just wanting honest opinions...

Bush Hog, 1ft, semi mount, very good condition - farm & garden - by owner - sale

Thank you for your input...
Tractor House has a few in the $2800 to $4000 range...
I've got him in that ballpark...
New they are north of $8K around here...
Lower than that on Tractor House but when you calculate shipping it is still in the mid to high 8K range...

That would be the top dollar here but those are good cutters. What are you going to use it on?

Reclaimed pasture. I have a 472 Brown for the heavy stuff. I can run it with my 4610 SU or Workmaster 50 since it is semi-mount. I'm under the 4K a good amount. It is real clean and appears to have been shedded. Appears to have new blades. They are in excellent condition along with the stump jumpers. I figure they were replaced when the new gear box was installed.

It takes me give or take 7-1/2 hours to cut the largest farm now with a 6 footer. That is tiring on this 58 year old. I figure it would cut the time down almost in 1/2 plus reduce the possibility of tire damage. I have new 18 ply aircraft tires on the front and are have 12 ply industrials ready to go on the back of the SU. Hopefully I can get my tire guy on it this week.
