240 fuel light always on.

My 240 low fuel light is always on. Don't have a shop manual for it.

There is a fuel level sensor in the tank under your seat. May be stuck?
To access it you have to remove the seat and fender deck.
The part number is AM117470 for the Sensor and M74732 for the rubber bushing/seal.

You should price the parts at your dealer before deciding whether to dismantle your machine. Light being on won't affect your mowing.

It may come un-stuck if you 'tap' the fuel tank with a soft hammer or suchlike.

Looks like tapping is in order, or a piece of black tape over the light . . .
