2310D Knuckle Seal Replacement

Looks to be time to replace one of the knuckle seals since it's leaking pretty good now. Just ordered the seal and the process looks pretty simple, any concerns dropping the lower axle housing or just have at it.

Do you have the Parts Manual for the YM2310D?

I don't have 4WD.

Haven't researched yours but repair sleeves are out there if your housing is badly grooved.

Ordered the seal earlier from Southern and watched a few video's and looks to be a straightforward process. It really just started and pretty much emptied the axle on the garage floor over several weeks, have not use since (annual monsoon's) so hopefully just a tired seal. The second video looks to be my setup.

Came apart with little effort and cleaned up nicely and does not appear to have any surface issues. New seal here tomorrow or Tuesday.

Well that was easy, new seal seems to have done the trick. Sat all night and still dry after a bit of a workout. I suspect it was just a substandard seal since the replacement had twice the structure....
