2305 wires chewed by mouse

i have a jd2305 and found the wires chewed through on a solenoid on the rear of the tractor. Found out the part number is LVU800865 . The tractor is working fine so what is the solenoid used for .PTO works fine and having no problems just would like to know what it does?:anyone:

Looks like the solenoid valve that controls the hydraulic fluid that operates the PTO.
