Hi guys. Well I just got my tractor back. This is what they told my they did. First they said they put a 54" mower on and the noise went away. Then they put a knew gear gearbox on the mower and said this fixed the problem. The service manager told me they also took the trans filter off and cut it in half on found no filings (was sure I read in the manual it has a screen with magnets). Kind of made me wonder why they checked the filter if they figured the problem was in the gearbox. Anyway they brought it back and unloaded it. I drove it onto the lawn and started the mower and guess what, NO CHANGE!! I got on the phone and talked to the service manager. He told me they have had a letter from John Deere saying they have had customers concerned with this noise and there is not a problem. Now this is what has me concerned. Before they brought it back the salesman told me they had fixed it and the noise was gone. When I got it back and still had the sound they tell me that John Deere says the noise is normal. Just doesn't sound right to me. The rubber isolators make sense. I can see this being an older deck because they sold me a new rear blade that I later found out was three years old for the price of a new one. So what do you guys think I should do? I sure am wishing I wouldn't have let my son talk me out of that Kubota 2350 now. I told the service manager that when I have a chance to hear another 2305 and if I don't hear the noise they can take mine back. For now I will just keep using it. Thanks for any advice you have given me or would like to give.
