2305 Cruise Control Kit

The 2305 JD configurator now list the Cruise Control Kit as one of the accessories that can be ordered. I called my dealer and he confirmed that as of Monday 11/28 he can order the kit. Code for the kit is LVB24813 and cost $125. I have one on order, so will see when it ships. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Has anyone purchased this kit from John Deere (LVB24813 CRUISE CONTROL Kit)? I remeber hearing it might fit a 2210 and 2305. I got the kit and installed it on my 2305. At the time I also had a 2210 and looked at it side by side. There are several differences that would make it difficult to install on the 2210. Not all the holes are in the frame that would be needed, and as I remember the hydro pedal design is different on the 2210 so some of the parts would not fit. The electrical I did not look at on the 2210 so can't say if it would work.

I would not say it couldn't be made to work but it would take a good bit of homemade design work.

The dealer just installed the cruise control kit on my 2305. The cruise control seems to be working, but the switch does not light up when the crusie control is activated. It looks like the switch has a green led that should light up. Does anyone else have the cruise control kit on the 2305 and can let me know if the switch lights up? Thanks.

I ordered cruise when I bought my tractor. I took delivery of the tractor and even had to haul it back for the cruise install. But I have to confess to virtually never using it. My field is so bumpy that the cruise was just herky jerky and entirely unnatural the few times that I tried it. I've never really got around to trying it on a flatter surface. I sort of forgot that I even had it. I shudder to admit that I may have wasted a little money on it.

But the cool part of this forum is that here I am, at a computer, three days and three inches of rain into November, chomping at the bit to take it out and play with it. (now that all the serious mowing is done, it's time to play.) I too wonder if the switch lights up?
