2210 Regulator Replacement Question

Just did a replacement of alternator & regulator. I went the 1972 Datsun, 510, with no a/c route instead of the interesting replacement found here. BTW, if checking your alternator at many shops, you'll need a year/make/model; finding the Datsun info above helped me a lot. Anyway, after replacing the regulator - matched to alternator and plug is same, common part #VR728, I get no dash lights at all. Tractor starts, but, no lights anytime, not on "TS", not when off and key is on, and not when running. It's nice not have the charge light on, but...
What to do next?

Is YM2210 wired the same as this YM240/YM2000 diagram? These use the alternator/regulator you mentioned.

I would check for 12 volts at both sides of the 5A fuse.

You can force a test of the temp light. At the temp sensor, slide the connector up a little and slip in a grounding wire. The dash bulb should light. (if the key is on).

I had to replace the lamps assembly due to corrosion in the sockets. You might check that.

Does a voltmeter show that the new alternator is charging the battery, ie above 13 volts when running?

I have not been ignoring this - thanks for the tips and schematic. I just have not had time to mess with it, especially since my voltmeter fritzed out! Hopefully this weekend...
