2210 front axle

I have noticed recently more noise or maybe a vibration when engaging the front axle. Last night I raised the front end off the ground with the loader, turned off the engine and rotated one of the wheels (MFWD disengaged). There is some gear noise/ vibration but don't have anything to compare with so don't know if it is abnormal. Oil level is good. Anyone else experience this?

I always thought the front axle on my 2210 was loud. I never had another one to compare.

I have been pumping grease into that thing ad nauseum because of the whine.There is also a difference when Im in 4wd.

The only real noise my 2210 makes with MFWD engaged is when I forget and drive on dry pavement or something like that. Maybe you should change your lubricant. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I noticed that my neighbors 2210 has a serious front axle problem; that is, the left front wheel when engaged and underload, i.e., pulling something is skipping/grabbing and a good old crunching noise. The dealer is picking it up today and I will post the results later.
