2082 cub

My grandparents have a 2082 cub that i am considering purchasing. But after running the machine for 30 mins. it over heats to the point you cant lift the hood up with out burning your hand. I looked aroud and didnt seem to see any nests or any thing that may cause this to happen. Any help is appreachiated.

if you haven't yet, remove engine shroud cooling sheet metal covers - make sure exposed cast engine fins are clean. Also make flywheel intake screen is clean. ck around for any blocked airways.

went through the engine, etc. a little dirty but nothing. I'm thing water pump maybe? I don't know this machine as I do mine.
