Got the 2025r and love it with the exception of the dismount.
Seems as if I am either sticking the pro selector up my arse or digging it into my back.

Anyone else have these problems?

I assume you mean the transmission range selector? If so, I have the exact same problem on my 2720. During the summer it is always catching on the leg of my shorts. It caught me once and almost caused me to take a header off the tractor. Ever since my lever does not perfectly light up with L-N-H marks. I suspect the handle bent slightly. I have no idea why JD thought it needed a giant bat handle for a selector. Other than moving it to "N" to start the tractor I leave mine in Low all the time.

Remove it and shorten it to a desired length?

The first thing I did when I got my 2720 was take the plastic handle off but it was still grabbing my shirt tail. So I cut the stub off, just above the first bend with a die grinder and a few rags to protect the tractor from the sparks. There is still enough handle for shifting and getting past it is no problem.

Right. Trans range selector. Good idea to cut off. I'll just have to get up nerve to do it on a new machine.
Uses more fuel than the old 4110 but still like it.
