2018 RAM vent

One simple way to get the OP's pickup back to normal would be to buy the part, then install it (or have somebody do it), and apply for reimbursement from Ram.

That's what others have done, successfully. Not sure why this relatively simple to fix issue has to be so complicated.

Is it a part you could get from NAPA, O’Reilly, etc.?

It “never seizes” to amaze me how they never use “never seize”. 😁

Potentially, but probably not.

I just know that some places (dealers, Mopar parts outlets) supposedly sell them.
Nothing personal, but if I were the OP I would've Googled my way to a source a long time ago.

Okay, in real life I would've got just the motor, replaced it and called it a day.

To clarify, I have plenty of issues of my own to try finding fixes for, so I (selfishly) prioritize my own problems. And there's lots of things on the list that I may not live long enough to ever get to.

If my brakes start acting up I'll pay more attention to the issue, much more. Then again, I really don't use my brakes since the exhaust brake is so good.

GM’s lines were infamous for rusting through. Transmission lines, too.
Didn’t hear it happening as much on others.
Have a friend that had an old 99 Tahoe he used just to tow the boat, and lumberyard stuff. His brake lines rusted through several years back. He found a complete kit to replace all the brake lines for these vehicles. The fact there is an aftermarket kit for them would be in good agreement with your statement...
