Purchased one almost one year ago. So far averaging 18.2 mpg. Other than locking cable in rear of bed breaking no problems at all. Wife loves truck and we will travel in it for 6 hours and never feel tired or unconfortable. Pulls tractor equally with dodge 2500 though not as quiet. Both have 6.7 diesels. The difference in years 2012.for ford and 2008 for dodge is only more electronic gadgets on ford. Would love to hear other experiences

Seems like Ford is doing better with the new engine. I personally haven't heard of as many complaints with the new diesel and its definatley improved the fuel mileage. Best of luck with the new truck!

Not to get off topic, but I haven't seen anbody but member coobie post anything about the new 6.2L gas engine in the Supers. I'd like to know how owners are doing with those trucks. I was minutes away from pulling the trigger on a Ford rather than my Chevy, and I guess I'd like to know what I'm missing (or not missing).

Is the 18.2 mpg overall? What do you get pulling 14K lbs? I've got an "old" '99 F350 7.3...just got 19.3 for about 220 miles last week..wasn't hauling anthing except trash in the bed...I get between 13-13.5mpg with a 24'GN with a 6000lb tractor on it...BobG in VA

The 18.2 mpg is overall from new now 13000 mi with some pulling of 6 ton trailor with tractor to NC and twice 20 foot enclosed trailor to SC . Wind noise in cab can at times be annoying . Not as quiet as dodge with 118000 mi on its body. Took truck on a trip today of about 320 mi very confortable

I am suprised that you have wind noise in the cab of your truck. I find mine very quiet, much better than my 05 F-150 and the noise level is close to that in the wifes BMW at similar speeds. Unless you knew you would think that 6.7L PS was a gas motor, not a rattling bucket of bolts like some diesels.

My overall mileage is also at 18.2 after a year (one year old yesterday 12/23).

No troubles with anything on the truck so far. There are some things ?I would have implemented differently but that is creature comforts and not critical, none of my gripes would stop me from buying another truck just like this one.

A little over 2 years with my 11' F-250 6.7. Just under 10,000 miles. I average about 16.5 - 17 mpg.

My cab is very quiet in my opinion.

Comeing up on, 40,000 miles on my 2011 F250 6.7 (Scorpion) 4X4 crewcab no cab wind noise complaints. Gettin 18.6 city/ almost 22 hwy loaded with tools and three men over 200 lbs each. Happy with truck so far. Even tough equipped to tow have yet to tow anything with it. Also have to throw in DEF factor when figureing out fuel mileage cost.

I have a 2011 F250 with the 6.7L diesel crew cab lariat 4X4. I average about 17.5 city and around 21.5 highway. No wind noise in the cab and no issues with the truck. Much better than the 6.0L diesel I traded in.

I have a 2011 f250 lariat crew cab 2wd with the 6.2 gas engine. Currently has 47000 miles of which 2000 are tow miles (neat gauge keeps track of distance logged pulling a trailer) I average 15 city and 18 hwy and towing our 14k toy hauler or 12k tractor/trailer average 8 mpg. Truck is super quiet and maintenance costs are minimal. No issues at all. I must say however that if I towed more or more often the diesel would be a better choice. But buying a vehicle to keep 5 plus years is just not practical anymore. I drive 30,000 miles a year.

Nice to hear good reviews.

Still, the goobermint has forced them to add so much stuff to meet pollution that the price is now out of my reach. Plus the "payback" is just not there for me with the high initial price and higher fuel cost. Sad. I like the smell of diesel in the morning... it smells like... towing!

Truck was out in snow today and overall performed very well. Engagement was very smooth no clunking or clanging. Locking rear diff. also easy to use but slower to disengage . Nav system is sometimes confusing to use but hooking I phone to radio is a breeze and having music of my choosing is great. Today's snow was only about 2in deep so not great test but weekend looks to have 6 to 8 in. Lots of things in center display to look at but most will never use. Still don't totally understand my key properties.

image-487187401.jpgimage-208885126.jpgI've got a 2012 f-250 Diesel, with 12,000 miles on it. Why in **** am i only averaging 15.6 ?? Usually when i feel up the trip/mgp underestimates my fuel use by .5 - .75 gallons.. so its really less than that!

What R/end gear ratio do you have ? Did you get notice from Ford to return truck to dealer to have it checked or reprogramed ?
Have you reset your MPG indicator manually and see if its still saying same along with paper fiques ?
Just some thoughts.

As Bullbreaker mentioned, what rear end do you have in the truck? I have the 3.55 electric locker in mine. Also, how do you drive yours? I drive mine on the conservative side just for the fuel economy aspect. My MPG trends down when the thermometer drops below about 25 F. There are a lot of factors that contribute to MPG, but 15 MPG or less is something I have never experienced without towing a heavy load.

I have the 3.31 rear end. I drive 15 mins to work every morning at 70mph.

Then drive about 35 miles in afternoon, average 55-60 mph.

Have not had it reprogrammed.

Most every time I fill up my trip says 20.8 gallons used, but tank accepts 21.8.

Avg mph is 15.6. But when you factor in it being overly optimistic on gallons used, paper way it's more like 14.5...
